Bio: Hi, I'm Mia and this is my life. I'm many things . . . retired Army veteran, aspiring photographer, suicide survivor, ultra marathoner, wife, adventure seeker, mental health advocate, special education teacher, world traveler, coffee addict, farmer, animal lover and complete lover of life. But, it wasn't always that way. Throughout my life I have been lucky enough to be surrounded by a few people who have given me great advice and support when I needed it most. This has encourage me to better myself, both inside and out. I have always struggled with body image and most importantly self acceptance. I would like to reach out and help other people who are struggling with self acceptance in all forms. I am not perfect but I am learning to fully accept my "imperfections" as perfections. I want to share the world with others. I want to share what others consider "imperfections" so that we can all share in the beauty that is life. As Mary Oliver said, "Instructions for living a life. Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it."
